As an indication of the heavy nature of the responsibilities of the City Council, Mr T. Bollinger remarked to a Brooklyn municipal deputation last night that the, area of Wellington was as large as Auckland, Christchurch, and Dunedin, taken together. " It was 10,500 acres, whereas the area of Auckland was only 1200 acres. ' "They, won't like to hear that at Auckland," remarked another Citv Councillor. " '■■.'■• Messrs. J. H.
