A somen hat serious case of alleged assault has just been biought to light, ft is state that a married woman named Maigarot ShcehanAaged 43, and residing at DrumtnSnd's Lane, had 6omo altercation on Monday with a man. On Tuesday the man returned, and is said to have assaulted Mrs. Sheehan with an open knifo inihcling a severe cut, and, when the blade of tho imfo broke off, hitting hei with tho handle. She was also severely bruised about tho body and face, and had both her eyes blackened. A woman who came to Mrs bhoehans assistance was also assaulted, and had her eves blackened. Yesterday, Dr. Henrv was called in to attend to Mrs. Sheehan, and he at once ordered her removal to tho hospital. Later a man who is alleged to havo been concerned in tho affair on tho two women was arrested by Constable Stovens
