A STAFF RIDE.
At tile Garrison Officers' Club last evening, Lieut.-Colohel E. WV o.': Chaytorr, of. .the Headquarters' Staff,, gave a lecture;, to officers on the-principles and practicei, of "staff rides." It .is intended to carry' out, a' "staff ride" for th.o garrison .officers on December, 19 .next, and," in connection with that-event,. a" number oi "appreciations' of situations" wore handed in. These were criticised.by Lieut.-Colonol. Chaytor, .who afterwards", dwelt.' at "'', Considerable length ..on.the riiles aiid methods to be followed in too conduct of "staff rideß,", Preliminary arrangements were thon, niade,: for'the tour.
