The question was asked at tho City Counoil meeting last evening by Councillor Carmichnel, "Tho public has been very much amused," tho councillor went on, "to see tho Zoo caso roported in the papers for somo days past. There Is no doubt that this action has roused considerable , interest in the management of tho Zoo, and I should like to know what stops tho council, or the committee in charge oi tho Zoo, proposes to take." vTho■ Mayor-promised that;the matter!would ,bo + considered by tho Reserves' Committee, and a report.would.bo supplicd'to.tho,council.
