: Some', excitement./was caused in -Ghuznee Street.at 7.15 yesterday: evening by"a.shooting affray which is alleged,to' have arisen; out; bf .family .troubles.' It abpearsthataman,named'; ; Francis, Joseph 1 Martin,'.ah .'expressman,' was walking along Ghuznee .Street*.'in the vicinity of Cuba Street, when. another man' .named Joseph Williams,; a farmer, from the.north of : Auckland district, approached and, it is alleged, levelled a. revolver at him' and. fired, tho bullet grazing his shoulder. Y The wounded man'' sot off'down the street.and did riot return,to the: sconeYof the occurrence; until ho.was assured that-rio' more-shots could be'fired. Tho wound ■ is. not very.serious, but a charge of attempted, murder'will, it is stated, be,preferred against Williams at .the S.M.. Court this morning.
