At the Supreme Court to-day a young Maori named Mark Menzics, convicted of assault on a girl eight years of age, was sent to gaol for three: years, > being also, ordered a flogging of twenty lashes. ■ Richard John Tooman, 50 years of age, fer criminal assault en two little girls, was sent to gaol lor six years. . • Peter Alexander, who pleaded guilty to two charges of uttering, received a sentence of. two years. ■ .■ .■
