HUTT PARK R.C. MEETING. GOLD CUP AGAIN VICTORIOUS. ' _: Delightful weather prevailed for the Hutt Park Racing Club's November meeting on Saturday afternoon, and the old racecourse was thronged with a very , large , attendance. v City patrons inado their way out to the Lower Hutt by train, and then by> 'feus and motor service to the racecourse. -. The arrangements worked well on the outward'-journey, but, after the last race,-there was a rush for the station, and the' number of conveyanots was 1 quite inadequate to cope with the trafficabout half the people having, to to. the Tailway station at Petone. Delay occurred at the starts of the various races, ■: too, and the lest event was- run half an hour behind time, so that city people did. not reach home till after 6.30 'p.m. The racing track, however, was in "good, order, and satisfactory fields faced the starter in all the events. Gold Cup, who has been a consistent winner since joining the 'pony , ranks,, was again- successful in the big handicap, and her win. was'.well received by the public. A different reception was given to, Lady Paul after- winning the 14.2 race, a seotion/- of the- publio • boing -apparently displeased with the form she displayed earlier in the day, when she ran third in the 14.3 handicap. ..A protest was entered against her on the ground that she' was unable to go under the standard,, but .this .was dismissed.'; Two accidents'occurred during,, the day. Paul fell in the Poneke Handicap, and his rider Todd received .a couple of scalp wounds. Miss Dean •parted with: her;'jockey :(Johnaon) in :the Hutt Park. Handicap, but .he was ' not -injured.
