: : : :;.EDUCATION BOABD, : \- . ■ Seeking to effect a saving wherover possible, ,the rEducatioii Board, at its meeting yester-. day,' 'decided, on the recommendation of itsFinance; Committee, , to retrench its expenditure in advertising, and resolved that : vacancy advertisements be , inserted, in' the three city papersj-twice in two and once in the third, in Tegular succession; that tenders ments-be insorted in local papers as at present, - and,- where it may: be -advisable for silarge work, in one city paper; that statutory advertisements be inserted tho number of times required by law.
