Another suggested alteration was in the use of thespray. The deputation thought a towel could be.used in certain cases. As to burning paper refuse, a; number of the. saloons .were in lock-up, shops, which had no fireplace, arid, a suggestion was thrown out that the.dustmen should remove-thepaper , overy morning, or a dosed receptacle should bo provided to recoive the'waste; It was the general' opinion in the .trade'.that hair brushes could be done away with, aid so lessen the chances of spreading disease, of the head. The practice could bo. to rub the head with a clean towel.and comb the hair,/ Of course if a customer/desired it he should, bo able to have a private, brush, kept.
