' The Norwegian barque Ashmore, from Hast London (South Africa) to Hokianga (New Zooland), in ballast, has put in here for repairs. ' Tho vossol oncountcred a howling hurricane on November 16, which reached the zenith of its 'power two days j later. Tho upper topsail-yard was carried away on tho mainmast, and' came crashing down on tho lower topsail-yards.
