SUDDEN DEATH. ~,, Gore,' November 23. A highly-respeoted resident of over ,30 years' standing, in the person of Air. Alexander Cockburp, aged 75, dropped dead on his farm, near Mataura, this evening. Heart failuro is supposed to bo the cause.
Christchurch, November 23. , Thomas Bird, a native of Cumberland and a resident of Harigioro since the earlj- sixties, died this morning. Deceased was out attending to his stock whon ho suddenly fell down and expired almost immediately. Heart failurb is believed to be the cause. FOUND IN A RIVER. Auckland, November 22. \A body, supposed to be that of a man named Bruce M'Kinhey, was ■ found in the Mahurangi River. Tho mau ,is believed to havo been accidentally drowned. DROWNED IN. A WELL. Dunedin, Novoinber 22. Daniel § Leonard Mathias, aged .two years, was accidentally drbwned in a well at his Sarcnts' house, Alexandra South, on Satur. ay last. \ FOUND DEAD IN BED.
