As soon- as the guard- moved; towards the: old man ho let go his hold of :the.rail,- and fell,clear of the train. :H«. was picked .up apparently, none theWorse for the- full.' and was taken into one'of tho ,carriages.; ..-The only compliant !'ho : made, was: about, his 'foot being sore, and ho ther<s upon set. about unlacing Ills'boot.,' Just before tho train reached Lower. Hutt, however, thi bid man had, a' fainting fit,' but 'soon recovered/ ■AV little'.'later; I .,he collapsed, completely and. died; Thero Wero no marks on the: body, excepting a ,bruise on one ,of -the "knees. Death was' apparently; duo: to internal; injuries.
