Mr. Clifton Eobirison, son of Sir ■ Clifton Eobinson, ofthe London United Tramways, has! been committed 'for trial .on ..a coroner's warrant on a- charge of manslaughter, bail being allowed. A couple named Goulding were, with their children, trampii;-; to Londonfrom Kent, whero they had been hop-picking, when ■they were knocked down by Mr.' -Eobinson's ' motor-car, "and died of'their^injurics.' One of .the children was also injured. >In his evidence 'Mr. Eobinson,-who drove the'car,.said that his speed might have been 17 or 18 miles an hour, and ho did not seo -tho deceased. until within 30 or 40 feet.
