Golden Bed,. 15s. : lIINING NOTES. Mountain King.—At the intermediate level the country is still a nice class of andesite. intor T laced with numerous mineral seams. There. ,is a large flow of water issuing from the face. The last M.feetmf driving, the reef has split up into strinpars, but has every appearance of coming together again as the level' advances ahead. In tho stopes, the reef is a nice compact body of ore, averaging 12in. in width, and shows strr«ag. dabs of gold, well distributed through the ore when taken down, Mountain . Queen.—Tho ' reef keeps about 2ft! wide, and still gives fair, dish prospects. • The countryi.is- still of, a. favourable class foij. gold, and toward the, face, a few" silica voins are crossing the reef, which should make an improve-' ment in the quality of tho stone. ~. . Wailii'Extended.—The south-east crosscut wasadvanced to ■ ,45ft., and since the lode was cut through. the ' country has been much softer. From the appearapco of the. stone, and of tho surrounding ...country, tho manager is conhdeut that he has No. 1 lode in hand. IVo first portion of the stor.e intersected has. every ap-pearance-of another ore body, which has functioned at this point with No. 1 lodo. In No. I drivo some preparatory work has'been, ifa progress, and driving up towards No. 5 winie was put in land that day. In No. 5 winze sinking' has belli continued on a steady head of ol Taifua' Leads.—The low level still'has a very promising' appearance, mineral seams being in evidence, ana quartz stringers occasionally met with. A contract to rise from tho level to the surface, a distance of ■ approximately, 90ft., has been let. • . ■'* ■■ . •"
