At the Woodville Cheese Factory 1700 gallons are now being delivered daily, and it is expected that the supply will. reach 2000 gallons in the height of the! season, which tip; here is' about tie middle of December. The sum of jCGOO was paid out for (Jctober's milk supply, this being at the rate of Mi per lb. of butter-fat. The average test for. last month was 3.65. Already about 30 tons of cheese have been sent away, and 150 cases will leave the factory on the 27th. The manager states that about half of the milk supply is from farms that have not been used for dairying before, which shows that the dairying industry lias taken on well in Woodville. The largest individual supplier is Mr. W. A. Walther, who is delivering 13001b. of milk from a small farm of 85 acres.- Ifcirty-fi™ suppliers are now delivering milk to the factory. The Ballance Company's creamery at Scarborough is now receiving about 2000 gallons, of milk daily, this being about. 500, gallons in excels of:the quantity supplied at the same period last year. At a-meeting of the Otaki Maori BacingClub on Saturday plans;of the proposed grandstand for. the new. course .were .submitted and .approved; and tenders-will be called for the erection of the structure in the course of a few days. '• ■ Among the visitors to Otaki on Saturday and Sunday were Mr. J. F. Arnold,' M.P., and Mrs. Arnold. They were the guests of Mr. niui Mrs. l'enn, and were motored to Parapaiaumu on Sunday by Mr., Byron Brown. The, visitors returned to .Wellington yesterday morning!. At a meeting of the Kalui Cricket Club on Saturday nighf it'was decided to hold a concert on December 1 Messrs. Small and MTkteekan were.elected joint secretaries for the event. A cricket match was played on Saturday between the Kimberley Club and the loml eleven. The latter won easily by an innings, and one run. ■ '■
