If tho ladies would take the matter in hand, the canvass, it was felt, would be a : grpat success. Other proposals by the' committee were that o. series' of: ontertainments bo held' during' the winter,.say, ! a euchro party once a month, and that arrangements be' made for a scries of lectures-,-extending over the coming year, on science, .travel, history and economies.
