'PEOPLE'S DAY: EEMAEKABLE'SUCCESS. (By Telegraph.—Special Correspondent.) i ; Blenheim, November 3.' A very high record was put up to-day, by the Marlborough A. and P. Association, and one that will take a lot. of overtopping at future shows. People's day was a remarkable success. It was an occasion of- records.' There was an expansion all, along'the line.. Theaggregato of exhibits was seven hundred more than last year, and six thousand people passed through the turnstiles, gate takings £1)5 in, excess of previous receipts'. The weather was perfect. Tho horses commanded the. main attention to-day. The judge (Mr. '. O'Eorko) describes the carriage hteses, tandems, and fo'nr-ih-hands as the -finest collection ho had ever seen in Newi Zealand,- and he especially admired the: troop horses.- The judge 'of draughts <Mr. Campbell) classed them as fully equal, to anything in the North Island. The : champion draught stallion was Mr. J. Dollar's Dundas, and the most successful draught mare, Mr.-' Donald M'Callum's Maori Queen. Mr: E.F;-:Healers Bluebell vron the championship m'jhncks,: and sis firsts and: seven specials. Thp:: principal winner in•:>thorbnghbreds was Mr.'Durrant's Knight Errant. Cattle and pigs showed an.'improvement..'
