RESULT Or THE BALLOT. ■ The blocks'of land which have ' beeE surveyed for tlje purpose of■ smiall farm settlement, open .'to retrenched . ami servants, ox-railway workers, and other unemployed, between Raurimu; and Kakahi, on the Main Trunk-line, were balloted for yesterday under the auspices ;■ of • the : Commissioner for Crown Lands (Mr. Jas. .Mackenzie) and the members of the Land Board.. The sections, which range from 100 to 200 acres in extent, consist of fair quality land (a good deal covered- in rimu and matai fit for milling), which is situated close-to the railway line..
