At a meeting of tho Management Committeo of tho Now Zealand Cricket Association, the following associations wrote offering to find guarantees for matchei with an Australian team:—Buller, J8X); Wairarapft, JJ7S; Westland, £50; Wnnganui, JCSO; OUgo, J!100j Canterbury, JSilOO; North Tarnnaki, .£SO; Nelson, XCO; Marlborough, XSO; Hawko's Bay, £!&; Auckland, wCIOO. It was decided that correspondence in connection with the. guarantees bo hold over until it was known definitely whether an Australian team intends to visit the Dominion. 1 It was resolved to confirm the dates for tho Wellington t. Auckland challenge match for December 27, 28. 29, and 30, 1960. The Canterbury Cricfcot Association wrote withdrawing the challenge to Auckland for January 29, 1910, and has issued iv challenge for a match to bo commenced on Friday, January 7, 1910, provided Auckland retains the shield after the
Wellington match. Should Wellington win the shield, tho association wiih that the usual ioterproTincial match against Wellington on January 1, 3, and 4, 1910, bo a Plunket challenge matoh. It wan resolved that the request Of the Canterbury Cricket Association bo agreed to, and that the Auokland and Wellington Associations be advised of the dates for tho Canterbury matohos.
