DESTRUCTIVE FIRE.
HORSES BURNED. [By Telcsroph.-PrcßS A6sociation.-Oopyrleiit.), Melbourne, October 27. A fire destroyed {.he sawmill, packing department, and stalks of the Hoadlcy Company's Jam Factory, with valuablo machinery and a largo quantity of stock, _ .Fifteen horses were in the stables. It was impossible to liberate them, and they wcro burned to death. Somo houses 011 a terrace in the vicinity were damaged. It is estimated that the damage amounts to many thousands of pounds.
