Pictort, October' 15.' . The Marlborough Rowing Assrciation lias decided to forego its annual regatta at Picton,on New Year's Day in favour of the Championship Regatta. An enthusiastic meeting of citizens at Picton last night resolved that the championship mooting should be held .on New'l ear's Day... A programme of events was drawn up, to'be submitted to the New Zealand Rowing Association for approval. Canvassers were appointed, and a strong' local committee wan formed to carry out the arrangements. It j 3 expected the prize-money will bo the. most liberal lyct offered. ■ ..':-' .'. '■ •
