'THE WEIiLINGTON CLUB. . The annual meeting of the Wellington Swimming- Clnb was held in Godber's Rooms last evening, Mr. G.S. Hill presiding over.a gathering of about 20 members. The adoption of the report and. balance-sheet (a precis of. • which has' been published) was'agreed-to after the chairman had remarked on the success which had attended the efforts of the clnb last season. . . ' .

It was. decided-to recommend the 'Commit!tee; to make a special effort during the coming season to encourage the junior members of tho club and to give its efforts to ,the clnb's juniois in preforenco. to a promiscuous encouragement of schoolboys. •;.■:■■ ; ■ It was resolved that an effort shonld be mode to get the other Te.Aro clubs to hold their club races alternately and'on.fixed days' bo that the public .will know when.they can visit the baths and be sure of seoimr ai race. ... .;. ;
