A bazaar in connection with the local Oddfellows' Lodge was''opened last night by the Mayor (Mr. J. A. Nash), in the Oddfellows' Hail. A large number of stalls (presided over, by lady friends 'of the Oddfellow*-) did good, business, and there were also the usual competitions. ■ ' ■',•'"',' ■''Consjderable interest was manifested m the poll hold to-day on ,the proposal to. raise a loan of J3OOO-for. the, purpose of replacing a section of two'7-inch mains with one 15-inch pipe.
