• A' meeting of the Miramar Borough Council was held last. evening, • and was, attended by the Mayor,, Mr. C. J. Crawford, and Councillors ; Brodie, Bowie,'' il'Leod, .Bell, Muir, 'and .JTLelland. :;■ V v . , The'directors of Wonderland, ■ Limited,' wrote asking the. council to .fix all fares on cars in the borough at one penny. It was agreed to grant a concession. for Labour Day only, provided that the City Council would also agree to a reduction. • y , In reply to inquiries made, with a viow to .obtaining representation for the council on the Wellington . Harbimr Board; a letter was received stating that the board's constitution would come up for: review 6hortlv, and the application of the • council would . oe 1 considered. Mr.i.T, .P. Jiulte,: M.P., iwrote stating that he would be prepared to .assist the council in its endeavours ,to obtainrepresentations on. the board.
