I '■' - SETES-kjeWE TOURNAMENT.''' The.'seven-a-side tournament arranged by the Wednesday Association was held at Miramar I yesterday. The' grounds were -in good condition, and some fast games resulted. 'Following are the results of the roands:— .;'-• ■'_," t '\ " Erst Bound. f '■■',■<•■ ; Post 'and' Telegraph , v.. Artillery A.—This match resulted in' a,win for Post.and Telegraph by, two goals to one., Owens scored both ..the-Post and Telegraph goals, whikt May'obtained Arfillerq's score. Sir. Carver was the ■ referee. . Karori v. Petone.—Petone had all the , best of .the game; ; but Karori were lucky enough to :score .just on the call of time. Mr. Taylor was referee. , Petono B- v: Artillery B—This game was •very easily .won by Petone B." by' two' goals to nil.. Mr. Chaplin refereed; Pakeha v.; TJH.C.A.—Pabeha were far the superior team, winning by three goals to nil. The referee was Mr. Sherwood. ..-..,■ Second' Round. . . : Pakeha v. Petono B.—Tho . snperiority in this raatchilay. with Pakeha, who won the game by. four, goals to nil. Mr..Taylor wag referee Post : and Telegraph v. Karori.—This match was' sternly contented.* Karori scored first but Post and Telegraph got going, and Owens fonnd the net twico within a few minutes. In the second spell Jones notched two' goals for Post, and Telegraph, ,and C, Spiers found the net for Karori.,: Mr. Sherwood refereed. . '.• " • '••■ • Final. ' In the-final play-off Post and Telegraph had to meet Pakeha. Both sides made the game fast, : but no score■'was registered in the first spell. After changing ends, tho effect of tho hard games played by Post and' Telegraph against Karori and Artillery began to •tell, and Pakeha managed to score two' goals to Feet mid Telegraph's nil,' thus' winning the coin.Bdtion.
