THE BROUGHAM HILL CLUB, A, beautifully fine day for the opening of the Brougham. Hill tennis courts on ; Saturday augured well for a season of great enjoyment and much success. Members of the, club.and' their friends to the number of about.3oo attonded ' the 'official opening, whioh was., performed by '-Mr. 'J: G.'W.. Aitken. Boforo hitting tho ball ■ over, the net, and declaring the courts.onon for the season, Mr. Aitken made, ft , short speech congratulating the club on the success'.of Inst yoar,\ aDd wishing .-it an equal degree of good fortune for tho .coming year. The beautiful day, lto said, roight.be taken as heralding a bright and enjoyablo season. . Tho courts were afterwards taken possession of by players, about 80 taking part in sots during the afternoon. Aitornoon tea was provided by tho. ladies, and music py the Professional Orchestra contributed to tho enjoyniontof tho opening day. , ■
