, . '.Church Extension. ' . The : Rev. G. %. Stowell said that the Batter of appointing a student for the summer months hail been taken rip very heartily by'C.irterton an'l Wairarapa,. and he thought that ■ this step could bo taken with the assistance of arrant from the t .Chnrch Extension Committee. .It.was 'decided'.to recommend the committee to make a grant for tho purpose. ; : Mr. Stowell said it was hoped that the Tesnlt would be the, creation of another charge. in' course of time. Shber) 'so that it-shall include - all'-clerical .expenses. ; .'.;" ' ~ • .-..'...'.: On the motion of Dr. Gibb, it was agreed strongly to recommend the Assembly to grant the application of the Rev. Frank- Tucker, who recpntly arrived from England,, for admission to the' Presbyterian ministry. , : : . f A- favourable report ' Waa • givon of church affairs at Wadestown. , ., - The Eov. W. J. Comrie gave notice of motion for the next sitting of Presbytery:—"That in future the Presbytery elect its Moderator for .a poriod of six'months." . .' ■~ ■■.
