„ A meeting of the'.Socicty.for. tho Protection of.';■ Women', ■ arid : . Children . was', held on Friday afternoon, in the society's rooms, Willis Street, when'the following ladies.were present: Mesdnmes Atkinson (in the chair); Nathan, Hoby, and Holgate, ,and. Miss Coates..' Three cases of neglected children: were reported, one where it was necessary to obtain maintenance for a mother from her family;:also, it was reported, that a home must bo.found for a littlo .bojv Satisfactory : reports "wens' received concerning several cases t'hat.had already been considered.' The discussion of one case was adjourned till another meeting. The following subscriptions were acknowledged:— £l Is. .each, from Mr. H. J. Williams, .Mrs. .T. C. /Williams, and Mr. J; Wv.
