Jackson) in the chairs There was an attendance of twenty ' .'j'he past season,.stated.the'committee in -its annual report, was a. most successful 'one, tho attendance of members at the weeljly. competitions beinjr satisfactory,, and the shooting throughout-of a'/high'-.-standard, ' The club-was represented at ;tha; Dominion rifla mCet-. ing in March last by 17 members, two' of whom sccntedi places'•: in'« the King's". Fifty—Halliday, eighteenth, and T'arr;' twentieth. . All 1 the Competitors shot; remarkably well at the meeting," iind tha olub's team had the honour o{ finishing second in the, ohumpion teams' match. Rifleman,Hallidfty.-compiling the fine, score of iIOO points. Rifleman Marshall came; third? in ,the Service Aggregate match. Several" members also competed at the Rifle Cinbs' Association iiieeting at and Rifleman Halliday won -tlio- ohampionship. :. Ty olub, was' alsC represented at: tha Garrison Eifle; Associationmeeting, secured the honours, Rifleman Marshall winning- the championship,, and tho club team tho champion tcams,- ,match. 1 Rifled man Halliday .fas also runner-up for. theMana- 1 w'atu '.District' Championship. In ; the club competitions, Rifleman Halliday carried off the championship;' Rifleman Burns -. the Johnston Cup (outright), Rifleman: M'iaren the Handicap Aggregate, while; Rifleman Rabe" was also. a -prize-winner. The annual, dinner and presentation: of prizes, -held in - April' last, was, the .committee considered,' a. most' successful, function. .. Nineteen members'of- the clflb 7 attended the first rifle club camp,. at Palmerston North, "during the Easter manoeuvres.; Soma, very useful work in skirtpishing and field firing was done. Tho committee concluded .its re-port-with -a : congratulatory reference 'to tha selection of Riflenian Halliday as a member of tho New Zealand representative rifle team, i whioh.
