At Stony Eiver on Wodnesday there was a good yarding, mostly dairy cattle. Springing heifers mado £4 10s. to £7 153.: springing cows, £4 15s. to £6; two-year steers, £2 18s.; empty heifers, £2 10s to £2 17s. At Waiwakaiho, on ■ Thursday, there were a big yarding 'and a large attendance Competition was good for both storo and dairy linos, prices for springers showing an improvement .on the provious sale. Mr. F.' Sole's dairy wcro a'nice' lot and sold well. A grade Jersey on account of, Mr. Wm. Beattie, with a record of 181b. of butter per week topped tho prices ■ for cows at £14 55., as also did a pen of hoifers at £7 ss. from the same breeder.
