RUGBY FOOTBALL SELECTORS.

Sir,—ln this morningV issuo of Tub Dominion you give comment ou tho Wellington selectors of our .-Rugby, team, and after reading same it strikes mo.that tho whole position Is caused through inability. In looking through tho: personnel of tho.team for south, you will notice that- thoro are only tiro three-quarter ' backs included, and both those men have boon playing in tho centre three-quarter position all season. Last Wednesday wo had a sample o'f South Island back play, and now'l would like to know hoiv they expect tho men chosen to uphold their position against fast men of tho l'ryer type. I would not complain at the selectors if we had not tho men to pi ok,, but wo havo plenty of useful wing-three-quarters in Dawson, Duncan, Bevis, Poole, ctc., etc., and .why; are they not considered? On leaving tho park'last Saturday tho crowd sejmed as if they *wero leaving a funeral, and it was apparent to'thorn that too many brilliant forwards were chosen, when wo wanted tho graftor to help our backs. Two years ago the city had an excellent.set of selectors, and hone of tho trouble which is so detrimental to. our national sport was heard of; so the sooner tho delegates to tho union get that set-back the better it will bo for the public and players alike, and the less bother to the management committee.—l am,- etc., .
