PRELIMINARY MATTERS SETTLED. Ths initial meeting of tho Government Tenders Board; wub hold yesterday. All the mera- : were present, as follow:—Hon. R. MTtenzie (in : the chair),- and • Messrs. Secretary for Public Works), Ronayne (General Manager of the Railways Department) Holmes (Engineor-in-Chief to the Publio Works Department), and Campbell (Government Architect). ; Only preliminary mattors were dealt • with.
