Tho statutory meeting of ' tho' Rexdalo Dairy Company, Maiigamaire,. was held last week. The business traneacted at the previous meetings was confirmed, and the, provisional directors were re-elected, "with the exception of Mr. Darren, who rdtiretl owjiijt to his not supplying milk to' the factory.
Mr. P. Lawson was elected; to • fill the vacancy, and-.Mr. K Bodmih was elected chairman of directors. Seven hundred of tho company's shares were allotted. It is expccUxl that tho factory, will be ready for receiving milk in a fortnight's time. Mr. A. M'Leavy, of Makomako-,- had the misfortunt© to have his hip distocat-ed last week, through a fall of earth in a metal-pit. At -Nireaba, on Friday evening,' tho local ■football club held a very successful smoke concert in honour of their winning both tho senior and junior Bush championships'. As a. .result of Mr.-,G. do S. Baylis's visit to Paliiatun recently, half an.acre.of land on Mr. Wakcman's property .in tho. borough will be used for experiments with various manures. Other experiments with .manures and seeds are to be carried out on Mr. J. Matthew's property at ManMhao.
