Smith, general manager for Australasia of tho International Correspondence Schools, who has been on an eight weeks' tour through Australia and Tasmania, • inspecting the various : agoncios of the schools, and opening fresh agoncios. ■ ; : The death is announced of , Mr. Robert Joseph Kennard, of Linton, ono of the district's prominent young settlors. .Mr. Kennard, who was 30 years of age, was apparently in good heajth till last week. He entered a private " hospital on Sunday to undergo an oporatioii, apparently for appondicitis, whon it was found that he was suffering from ;a jsovoro, attack of pneumonia, from the effects of which-ho passed: away, in the early hours of' this morning.
