Sir Sandford Fleming (tho Canadian engineer who'is so prominently identified with tho Pan-Biitaunic cablo movement), in an interview regarding tho All-British cablo, declaied that the wholo thing was a matter pf education. The peoplo required to bo educated along tho lines of cheaper cablo services, and not till then would a cheaper service como. Ottawa, August 24. Tho "Free Press" declares that Canada has done all that is possiblo in the matter of cable services,"and can do no more until Australia and New Zealand show a disposition to avail themselves of the Imperial route.
