NORTH V. SOUTH.
The cry of nortlv against south has boon raised by Mr. K. M'lntalh, one of the North Canterbury delegates at the recent .agricultural conferenco. at Ho lias written as follows' to a southern i journal "The great difference in the requirements of ,tho North and South Islands in agricultural matters has made itself manifest rit the biennial conference of A. and P. Societies. Mr./ K. M'lntosh, the delegate of tho Northern A: and P; Association, Canterbury, said that after his experience he had come to the conclusion that far more good would be'dona if the South Island or oven Canterbury alono held a conference annually. Matters of local interest ■ could then be discussed and pre-i pared for remission* to, the Dominion conference. At present much time was necessarily occupied .'-in,-'the discussion of agricultural.matters of interest to the North Island' only, and these would'be better dealt'with at a local confcrence.'! ' ] i
