.Paris is just now exciting itself over the discovery of a means of taking beautiful colour photographs, in which sunsets- and twilights and scones, wlych depend -upon colour are most exquisitely reproduced,; says the English papers. Ladies' dresses come out wonderfully well, and.what is so,delightful about'the process' is 'that photographs of- people show tlieni with their actual colouring.; Auburn or very fair-haired people appear with their hair as it is, the exquisite'.tinting-of.little children is faithfully reproduced, and all materials 'do not look alike'..as they, do in .an '.ordinary photograph, but reappear in their rear colours, and-, as. thin or, thick textures.,' ■' '~ At/present only a privileged, few .have. seen.': these beautiful pictures, but, no doubt er*S 16ng ; there will be-a fresh boom in .'■ photog : raphy.
