The two/big hurainockß; in.front of Victoria College havo.now disappeared, arid the main portion of. the gang is engaged'on the new entrance drive overlooking Salamanca Road. When this work 1 has - been dono, the men will shift over to the Kelburno Parade side, of tho college, grounds, whero they will batter- down about-6ft. of tho ' bank, arid form over 20l)yds. of. footpath. ■ A number, of men are also employed on: tho excavations behind .'the gymnasium, and on tho rough bank, on tho Salamanca Road, faco, . which is being . sloped off and cleared ' ot' gorse, etc.; propAraWy.to, planting. .The, excavation '.of i the. Iho carpenters have, almost completed the two rooms on the top floor of the college and next week , it is expected 1 that they w VJ, be transferred, to .the .gymnasium.,. Iho widening of this JVndestown Road has been practically completed',, at ' a cost 6f somethinglike-£ipO-un<derthe estimate.
