The Amateur Athletic Conference has decided, with a view to arousing interest in athletics, to bring the' South African sprinter R. E-Walker and the South African long-dis-tance runner Hofferon (who waa second in the Olympic Marathon race) from Durban to make four appearances in New Zealand and two in each of the Australian States. This will be done at the joint .expense of the associations represented. New Zealand guarantees up to £100. athletes will arrive about Christmas.
