Hospital and Sanatorium forwarded a resolution, passed by the local committee, recommending the planting-of an orchard at : the sanatorium, tho work to be carried out this season if possible. Mr. Crawford agreed with the resolution, but ho doubted if-anything could be done this season. The matter was left in the hands of' Mr. Craw.i'ord, with a .recommendation to have, the work done this season if possible.' ■: Reporting on the Otaki: Sanatorium for tho month of July, the matron stated that two, pationts were ■ admitted and three discharged/ At the date of reporting there were 1C females and 11 males-under treatment..: Patients' fees received during the month totalled -;CSO. The the Otaki Hospital reported that'during July there had been four-:pationts admitted to tho hospital, and eight discharged. There were seven, females and-two males under treatmentat the date-of reporting. Work hadi been very slack throughout the month. The chairman reported that he, and Messrs. • Crawford. and Murdoch, had visited- the .1)03pital last week.' Work had never been so slack at the hospital as at present. The overseer reported that,tho site for the new shelter-shed, is now. ready, and the timber for the shed has been ordered, and is to be on the ground this week. I'hb chairman, reporting on the financial position of the board, stated that there was a bank balance of .£l2lß is., and JMOS ss. cash in hand, making a total of JCIG23 Qs. A subsidy of .£2015 Bs. was duo from the Government. Accounts amounting to XUBB Gs. "7d. wero passed for payment.
