MEETING AT THE TOWN HALL. v The meeting of Wellington ladies, convened by the Mayoress (Mrs. Newman) for the purpose of making arrangements for the bazaar to ibe hold in the beginning of November, took place in the Mayor's room at "the Town Hall yesterday'afternoon. About' thirty-eight-ladies wore present, and Mrs. Newman, at the particular request of Mrs. Rhodes,.the' president of St. John Ambulanoe Nursing .Guild, occupied tile chair. ■■ ■ » : ;Mrs. Ne.vmaiv expliined'the object, of the :meetiug, which was to add to. the funds already m hand for carrying" oil the' district nursing;; It was Mrs. Khodos's earnest wish that n;hen the cum was sufficient-it should be put in; the hands of competent trustees as a reserve for the. district nurses, so that there might always be a home and ail incomefor nurses working under the St.. John Ambulanoe Association. Mrs. Rhodes also spoke, expressing the hope that she would see the object stated
