Regarding the request of the Kaihu.branch of the Liberal and l Labour Federation that tho Minister for 'Railways ' accept railway sleepers. mado from the numerous immense kauri tree heads which oro scattered over old bush workings, and from tho working of, which much employment and .profit could bo derived; no satisfactory, reply has been rowaived.
