EXEMPTION FIXED'AT £100 AN ACRE. London,. August 10. The House of Commons sat for fifteen hours discussing tho Government Finance Bill in committee. Mr. Lloyd-George, Chancellor ;of the Exchequer, proposed that land upon which the owners had spent J'loo an acre for development purposes should be exempted from the undeveloped land duty (id. in the £ on tho site value). , The amendment was carried.
