'An enjoyablo smoke concert was held by the Southern Football-Club' last night at Wm. , Noad's rooms, Cuba;Street.:;All the arrange- . ments were, well carried out, catering and other important matters being well looked to. In the'unavoidable absence of Mr. J. P. Luke, M.P., Mr. E. J. Fitzgibbon presided. ' ' Trophies and for, the best players in each; grade were presented; during the evening, as follow:—Beat player in senior team (medal donated by Mr. E. J.: Fitzgibbon), Mr. L. Campbell; best, player in junior- team, Mr. Johnson; best playpr in the fourth-class team (trophy donated by Mr. 3. B. Speed), Mr. Flannigailj best plftyer in fifth-class team (trophy presented by Mr.-W. B, Perrott), Mr. Geo. Gray.- A presentation was also'made to Mr. W. W.
