It was decided to make application to tho Government for loons of £1600 for the construction of Bowen's Eoad, and £800 foi a road to connect the Ca'ico Road with i Mam Street on Martou Extension, £400 foi rfordnig and culverts on Newman's Road, and for motalhng 80 chains on AVhale's Road and 35 chains on Newman's Road, and £700 for constructing Biuce'i, Road to connect with Bonny Glen Road It was also decided to place £5000 on the list of loans to be applied for ivhen money is available for metalling Murray's track from TinrauLawa to Mataroa, and to schedule a loan of £5500 for future application for metalling the road from Rongoiti Junction to KoeliO The engineer TV as instructed to proceed with the plans for ( tho Taoroa Bridge over tho Rangltikei River upon tho Da.vson prmciplo A maximum of £2 was fUed for councillors' expenses when attending meetings This was done to prevent any excessive charges Tho majority of the councillors make no charge for attending meetings

The butter-fat amounted to .144,3941b., tho milk showing a percentage of 3.97, and producing 366,6491b. of cheese, equal to 163 tons 13cwt. This is an increase of 24 tons on tho amount last season. Each pound of butter-fat mado 2.5391b. of cheese, 1 tho milk averaging 9.911b. to each pound of ch'eese. Duitng the season, advances were made to milk suppliers at tho ra-to of 9d. per lb. of buttor-fat, tho total amounting to £5114 14s. ,4d., leaving for distiibution £2105 14s. 9d., equal to 12s. 6d. per pound of butter-fat over tho whole season. have also mado provision for writing off 8 'per cent, for depreciation of plant and buildings, and the paymont of 6 per cent, on thp i paid-up capital.
