STRANDED.
THE LANGTON GRANGE ASHJORE. (By Telegraph.-Preaa Aasoclailon.-Coprriebu ■: London, August 6. The Federal-Houldor-Shire line steamer Langton Graugo, ■in ballast, has been stranded on tbo coast of Pembrokeshire. She is beginning to open up amidships. The Langton Grange is a vessel of 5852 tons, and was built in 1893 by Workman, Clark and Co., of Belfast. She is one of a line of steamers that maintain- a regular- monthly service be-; tween New Zealand ports and the West of England in accordance with a contract from the New Zealand Government. She carries passengers as welt as cargo. All the steamers of the Fedoral-Houlder-Sfiire line are specially equipped for the conveyance of live stock and frozen moat, and wlen the Langton Grange left the Dominion for Avonmonth on May 29 she had a very large cargo. She arrived at Avonmonth on July 17, and,, judging by the wording of tho cable, she had completed discharge, and was proceeding to Liverpool to take the loading berth. According to tho company's time-table, she would be leaving again for Australian and Now Zealand ports about September 21. Capt. P. A. Greaves was in command of the vessel on her last trip. <
