■ A WOMAN ON THE HILLS. An active search continues to ba made oil thp hills behind Day's Bay for the woman Margaret Penney, who disappeared from Lower Hu.tt on August 3 last. Yesterday, about 70 people were engaged in tho search, tho party including the police and residents of Eastbourne. Signs of |ier progress wore lost after sunset, but will bo picked up "again this morning, and followed up. The woman was very thinly clad; and her experiences in tho recont southerly must havo, been , very trying indeed. A party of about a dosien members of the Royal New Zealand Artillorj will proceed to. tho Bay this morning to assist in the search. , ' . . •A. dotailod description of tho • missing woman, as supplied by the police, s'tatc( that slio is 44 years of age, 6ft.
