A bright star in tho eastern sky could bo plainly seen moving upwards and downward 1 ;, and to tho right and left continuously' from 7 to 730 p m until clouds stopped the viow, Tho ovolutions wero seen bysevcral The star was bright and dis tmct, and did not move out of an apparent 10ft radius Tho position in tho sky was about & quartei distant from tho horuon, and to tho tight of tho moon's path 'We wore favoured in this mstanco nth a distinct new, and there were no flashes of light, Tho movotnonte continued at intervals of about a minute or t»o, BOinotiraea less In moving upwardß and downwards tho star spefflod to go straight and tideways, ivith a slight curve."
