Mr. Bcntlcy Bought to obtain from Miss Ward proof of a recent statement that several actors had left the stage through her ministrations in Sydney, and asked hex if aha had ooine to a decision about returning' to tho stage.".'.... v . This telegram was the result 6f ail interview with Mr, Benttey at' Sydney, when mettiion was made of staging "Macbeth'' and the possibility of Miss Ward's appearing as Lady Macbeth. ; Mr. Bentley, in his reply to Miss Ward, stated that the terms were prohibitive. •In a letter from Adelaide Miss Ward stated!
