THE TERRITORIALS QUICK HANDLING ON RAILWAYS. (By Telegraph -Press Association-GoDyricht) (Rec. August 2, 10 20 p in.) London, August 2. Under arrangements made by Lord Ebhcr, a member of the Committeo bf Imperial Defence, an interesting scheme of transport of troops by railway was tamed out on Sunday. Tho Great Western transported 15 000 TerntoiMls, 3-'ioo houses, and 300 'vehicles, including 40 guns, from London to Salisbury Plain between midnight and four o'clock on Sunday afternoon The South-Western 'similarly carried ,12,000 Territorials The whole of tho tiansport operations wci.o earned out without flurrj aud without interference with the traflie incidental to tho bank holiday (the fiist Monday in August)
